Speachless,

Are you going to let me take it back, or are you going to hold it randsome? Because that car will turn heads!

It seems like we finally have someone who can paint our aircooled cars for a reasonable amount :)

Hi guys,
Bugoff will be putting the car back together, the back window is a concern, does anyone know the best way to do this, if there is a trick to doing it without breaking it?
Please help!

Not as difficult as it sounds - are you using new rubbers? If so, do the following:

1. Leave the car, rubbers and window in the sun for an hour or so to let it get nice and warm
2. Get inside the car with two of those plastic 'spanners' used to take off the tyre of a bicycle when you have a flat
3. Put the rubber over the window edge, and place the entire window + rubber inside the window frame
4. Have someone apply gentle even pressure from the outside, while you 'hook' the rubber bit by bit on the inside over the metal frame
5. Do a few spots accross, then 'fill' the inbetweens
6. After the rubber is in place, give the window a firm push with both hands (fingers spread out) from the ouside to settle it finally

I did all 8 windows of my Variant that way a few years ago
