WOW! What a busy day. I am proud to be part of the ACVW forum and was very pleased that I eventually got to meet Dutch Diver, Dirk and JohanB, was also great to see Neil and little one again. Also got to meet some of the guys from Phenomenal Bugs and also Jason, Charlotte & little Mia. My toes nearly fell off from the cold morning dew but then it was a beautiful day later on. We all decided to go and chill out at the Stellenbosch Air Show which was a beautiful and serene place to relax. Then off Vader and myself went to HR and Angel for coffee. Was lovely seeing you guys again by the way. Pitza, red wine and a 'bad copied' DVD of Underworld was enjoyed and now Vader has passed out.........again. No, not from dop but from a loooooooooonnnnng day. I love you all lots and look forward to seeing you again and meeting the rest of the crew. Keep up the good spirit!
Oh no, it's her again.......the crazy one, she doesn't give up quickly........!

Pine, that laaitie is a vw nut already. Before he left his dad asked him to check the oil of there 63 beetle. No problem, just ask for help to lift the lid from a bigger person and then he had the dip stick out, looked at the oil, wiped it on the grass, put stick back and then rechecked before deciding there was enough oil.

Thanks for the day Frank.. My uncle was very happy to be there as the beetles reminded him of his SP he had.. We decided next time to leave the misses at home just to look at cars as long as possible.
Nice meeting all the fine Folk, Nice putting names to faces.. Are this going to be a monthly event. Maybe next time we can arrange everybody can bring refreshments along for a personalized ACVW breakfast (Barry's idea I'm promoting here)

Can't wait for the next meet :drunks:

Yes the day was smashing and good to meet and greet.. :hangloose:

Just to come back to the actual reason for this day... To help out an ailing craft market!! :hangloose: They have been there for 5 weeks and Saturday was the first time in 5 weeks that some of the stalls sold ANYTHING!! I bought my mommy :D a beautiful hand painted plat with sunflowers on.. Made the old lady hugely happy.. There was pie's, coffee, bacon & scrambled eegs rolled in a pancake (very yummy) bead work, organic veg, succulent plants and jewellery. I'm missing some stuff but anyway it was a success as people would drive by, see the bugs & busses and pull in to have a look at them and then take a walk around the stalls... So Helmets off to everyone and give yourselves a pat on the back for a good deed done by help your neighbour in these hard times... :hangloose: :hangloose:

The air show was a huge bonus and a super way to end off the day.

Thank Dutch for coming up with the idea.....

I think once a month would be a great idea and then we could take a drive to butterfly world or the zoo or a wine farm of maybe over Hells Hoogte to Franshoek for giant pancakes at Gideons....

The ACVWSA Community outreach program should be started in all the major cities around this beautiful country of ours....

3 Cheers to all... :drunks: :drunks: :drunks:
