M183: Walk-through cab (Panelvan and Kombi - RHD)Ron&Gill wrote:As the Fig says, you could order your panel van or camper (post 1955) with M199 which gave you no bulkhead at all and a swiveling driver's seat.
Pre 1955, M057 would give you the cut-out bulkhead with a single post going up to the roof.
If you asked for M057 after 1955, you got wooden slats on your pick-up's load area... You must admit, it's almost the same...![]()
If you had a bus other than a camper or a panel van and you asked for M199... you got seat belt mounting points... eishDepending on which web site you look... Kombis would get you a swivel seat too.
But I think it would be a good idea to find out what M199 entailed. Just a saw and some swively seats, or did they actually build in some gussetts for reinforcements?

Walk-thru panels did not have the vents at the top rear of the load compartment.

Re: 67 Panelvan
I'm also looking for a few for my rack. I used the ones off rod holders found in most Auto stores as a temporary fix (lasted over two years so far with kayaks on the roof for long windy trips). Was an expensve exercise at around R60 a pop - probably more nowDutch_Diver wrote:I need 2 of those clamps too for my rack. If I find, I will buy 4 and send 2 over in the post.

I have no idea about the clear coat on flexible surfaces, Only way to know is to wait, maybe in a few weeks the paint starts breaking off

Re: 67 Panelvan
lets hope not. if so then use a paint that does not require a clear coat and then by hand buff the shine up

Was actually thinking the same thing.
Some sheetmetal parts like this one should be relatively easy to make.

Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
