Oh, hell, I was afraid someone was going to ask... OK:

Once upon a time, many many beers ago, I bought an aftermarket Type 3 exhaust from T3D in the UK. I think it was a Monza exhaust, or a similar design. It is basically a 4 into 1 which tucks away nicely and exits where it is supposed to. The heat exchangers remain part of the system, but the heaters need some further modification to the exhaust to get in working order. I will look into that later.

BTW: She looks gorgeous... We will arrange a "hand over" or "commissioning" ceremony when I am home and I take her out of storage, which will no doubt be a seminal event.

I have started her... she has a nice little rumble.

Vader, thanks for the pics!!

Pfft! :TIC:

To me the Notch is the prettiest Type 3. (Type 14 is the sexiest VW, by far.) I have dreamt of owning one since I was a teenager. By my reckoning it is also the rarer of the Type 3 (after the 34).

Get her home safe, Vader. :D

Square would be my second choice, sorry Herman. I like the squares, that is because I like stationwagons for their practicality. As some of you know, I had an Avant, and still drive a Golf 4 Variant.

But for Herman: I do like the Fasty too. Have you seen the prototype Type 34 fastback? I'll try to find a pic for you, I'm sure you'll like that. I do.

You Bastards are not waiting for me to get home to deliver your Notch??????

I will be back at Grand Slam on Monday 16th July :D :D Great for some, perhaps not so good for others

Ron, your baby is looking super - just sorry that I won't see her before she leaves the shop - perhaps I can convince the boys to hold on to her for another few days, just so I can at least check that ALL is fine, done and to my usual standard :D :D

Look forward to seeing you all soon :hangloose:

 No sweat Ron, Have all the photos of the type 34 on computer, at one stage was thinking of taking a 412 and fastback and making me my own, the 2nd one in existence, would that not be some thing.....

must say all the type 3's are cool, all have their own attractions, and should I place them in order of like, then it would be Fastback number 1, then Fastback number two, and fastback number three.........
    Oh! sorry did I mention that I like the Fastback as well.

all jokes aside, I like the fastback for its drive, best VW on the road, drive wise.
The Notch is more Homely, like an old sweater, or relaxing by the fire.
And the Square, is a plain work horse, lot of respect for it, Built my 1st house with it carrying all the materiel with a white one. Pity it died when the house was completed.

Enjoy it, and get it away from that mad Es women, before she gets here......

Herman

The Notch has now met Roumors and is parking off chilling in the garage! Made the trip with ease and no issues apart from one of the hubcaps comming off and being pancaked by a passing car...F@$king asshole aimed directly for it and then looked very pleased with himself for doing it.... Oooppppssss... Sorry Ron. Ill take it to Barry and see if he can get the lip pulled out so that you have a complete set....
