There is still a lot of work, the body was only trial fitted to see that it clears the gearbox. The next step will be to make a little more space for the tappet covers and then build exhaust system.

I'm still in two minds about fixing the front end or going one piece... I'd actually prefer to fix it though, just need to find a good panelbeater

The gearbox and gear lever section was picked up about 100mm to sort out the rear negative camber.

??? Do you have Chip Foose there with his whole team? You moving on this build now! But looking good. when you lift the gear box I presume you also make a new rear gearbox mount to lift the rear the same as well? also pushes your engine up, will it clear the existing body work or are you going to modify that as well?

The front and rear gearbox mountings are picked up. So far it looks like the decklid will still close. :D

The body had a front end smash, thus the front tyre well is damaged and the 1/4 panel is dented in. The rear 1/4 panel also shows some damage.

The front end on the body I think is still fixable... before I cut and weld a new piece in I'd rather go fiberglass. Thanks anyway

There is at least another year worth of work needed on the car.... so it might look like stuff is happening quickly, but it aint.

Keeping a close eye on this build, especially the engine, might learn a lot from you :D , I'm still keen on fitting that WBX with the Gotech into my bug, ( the 1600 Turbo not enough fun anymore  ) Love your work on the engine so far.

4x exhaust stubs done and bolted onto engine. You have no idea how difficult it is to fit 48mm pipes past the pushrod tubes!!!
