You made a good move there!

Will be posting some progress pics of my bus soon with all the green repair panels. It's really money well spent.

Shot sean
I'm sorry I could not make it yesterday - would have loved some quality time with the Green Doc and yourself -Im sure there were some fine details that the man parted with
Ya definately money well spent - those panels fit like a glove
might even look at some more
Front frame repair section etc
I mean if your not going all the way then why go at all !!

Well what a weekend
Splitbussaholics visit and panels making me sleep not so nice - burning holes in all that good green stuff with a stick welder
So what a suprise when doing some junking
-found a mig - loose tools and a boot carrier rack all for 2 k
Wife not very happy with the spending but alas the job must continue
Have a mate that is going to buy the mig when Im done for 3 k
Saw a google sales pith at builders for 7 k ??????
Got the tierod ens from our local for zar 308 for 4
L and r thread for the moving parts
on the stattic - will thread the one side and weld the other in
yes you guesed - will use the mig to do that
Also got all the bearings for the Red boxes - zar 920 for all 8 and the are premium quality
will put up the numbers a little later
Why is it when you deal with the regular splitt parts suppliers they all think you are super $$$$$ so an extra 1 on all will suffice
trying the old school method of deal direct - maybe we can all save some $$$$ this way
The parts are out there you just have too look
MIG here we go

Now all i need are the seals
might even make some myself - maybe take to long
\So FFR will be getting a call

Hey Warwick!! It's a race to see who's bus is on the road first.
By the looks of things, I am ahead!

Unfortunately for Jolas, since last month he has fallen behind...

Hey dude go easy
Tools in workshoppe pitter pattering around is easy to deal with
Just wait for the pitter patter of small feet
Tell you what a complete reck of a bus is easier than that lott
Paul is strong and will join the Cape Rat Pack soon
Ja will be good when the "Fleet" has an open day Tour
Hopefully a Summer mission to DeHoop will be an idea

Make sure the tie-rod end doesn't get hot while you do this, it needs to be submerged in a coolant, if not, all the plastics will melt inside and cause the end to fail.
You didn't mention the drag link, these ends are also available from Midas, same as the Baywindow.

Got you Sean
Heat and rubber no good
Will look and see if my mate can turn me a L hand tread then no need for the heat
Drag link must have been replaced as its still solid - that is the ends
Will just take off the rubber covers and renew and put some grease in there
