It was thought the motor was 2L as the Previous owners were made to believe
Once after closer inspection and investigation we came to the Conclusion it is only a 1835 cc
We have stripped the motor down and sourced a 2.1 WBX Crank from our stock we bought from Remtec so
now the CC of this engine will be bumped up 2019cc with twin Carbs

This beetle just looks nice and that colour is very nice. does that oil shroud open and close or adjust? I see a spring on the side of the shroud?

Im either gone Too old, Too fat or Too slow,

took me 4 hours to strip the pedal assembly and refit a new clutch cable.
Firstly - the PO spot welded the accelerator cable lever to the pedal shaft. Needed to grind the weld off using my Dremel, then run to the scrapyard and get anothe assembly.
Then - the cable wouldnt go past the sleeve extension from the firewall to the gearbox. Take the sleeve off, thread the cable through trying hard not to bend it too much, then force the sleeve back into its original place.
Lastly - the new oil cooler was in the way, needing small hands and a new dictionary of curses and swearwords.
But after all that

she changers like butter.
Thanks Retrobug for the heads up on a wooden steering wheel.

For R1000.00 a bargain.
