Are polyurethane bushes better or advisable to use in place of the original needle bearings and seals for the front beam axles?
Correct me here, poly bushes have little to no maintenance, but tends to squeak if not lubricated?

The experts can jump in here but if my memory serves me right, you only lubricate these bushes with graphite powder or baby powder and not a liquid oil or grease

A lot of guys swear by the poly bushes, but there is also a band of offroad guys who no longer use them but rather favour the harder Delron bushes.
I've never looked into it, but I cant see the advantage over a bearing, unless the bearing is damaged and you cant replace it.

I see I'm an oil pump now!
I'm still searching the net to see what people say about the empi wide 5 205 king & link pin drop spindle front disc brake kits. Anybody got experience with those? I bought one and still have to install it. I have replaced the bearings with timken and the soft brake hoses with CEF specially made to the kits length hoses.

I'm looking at replacing the sparkplug wires. Any recommendations about which good quality sparkplug wires to get?
What is the consensus, with or without the plugs to cover the holes in the tin?

What alternatives are there to reinstall those triangular pads at the bottom of the C-pillars in the engine bay?
They look like this..

Have you fitted the kit yet?

Yes, its installed and I’m disappointed. The stance looks better, but it will not work without a narrowed beam. The 2 1/2” drop spindles does not leave much room for tyre travel. It does brake much better though.
Got one of these and will install it soon. Does anyone know if this has a residual pressure relief valve for the front brakes that must be removed?

So I did some few things like rewiring the reverse lights, fitting new rear lights. Got some Osram globes...you need to sit down when buying those;-)
Fitted a quick shift.... that makes a big difference, now I don't to fetch the gear knob from tomorrow and take it back to yesterday, every shift is now in the same time zone. I got a another gear lever that I will play around with to get the ergonomics even better at some stage. It still feels a little as if the shifting action is not straight, may need to play with that plate, any suggestions...trial and error?
Set the points gap again... was not so easy. I think between the tightening action of the screw and some uneven surfaces, the correct placement of points spring arm against the distributor shaft, I managed to get it where I was happy. Also oiled the distributor and I think I won the exhaust leak battle (I really dislike that clamp business setup). There was a flat spot just after idling and MAN, what a difference!!! The car feels totally different!! I can only think that the carb gets heated up quicker and to a higher temperature and the vacuum advance is also now doing its job.
The twin peashooters are singing in harmony now

Feels like a million bucks!

Here is a photo of how Beebo looks now with the 2.5” drop in front.

looks much better.
Now you need higher profiles at the rear to give it an old school flavour with a slight nose down stance

I agree that it looks better, but it doesn’t ride better
