As you can see I have had dome pretty bad luck with my other motor lol

I cant believe it still ran

This is Bogo the bug that showed me the hard way how not to do up a beetle!!

But I still love it. Its such a fun car except the 1st gear of late thats why I'm getting a pan with a extra gear box on

Okay today I got really sick of been dirty all the time while working on the motor or the gear box so I started cleaning. This is what I ended up with
From this

To this
I also needed a way to clamp the fly wheel to take of the gland nut. I came up with this

And it could not have worked better

Lol I used very little old petrol and a wire brush. I cant say it was a lot of fun but it came out really nice. When I'm done I want to have 3 things with this car
Number 1 The car must be reliable And not have to stop and fix things on long trips
Number 2 I must not be able to spot any kind of oily

any where on the car
Number 3 There must not be any rust of any kind any where!!!
I am looking forward to getting it done but so far its getting there its just going to be the rust thing but I WILL GET IT DONE

I really hope it can come out with out damaging any thing!!! I put it back earlier and it worked just fine but this is my first time doing this and even if it was my 100th time it still would have come out. I hope I haven't broken any thing

Okay Today is my last day working on my beautiful beetle for the next while. I am going to be out of cell phone signal till the 2nd of December. And I am going to get back to hopefully find a beetle body and a pan with disk brakes in the garage. I am going to have a chat to bugger to see if I can fix the gear box today before I leave.

I'm Back!!!! I only found out today that the pan and the body has made it home safely and that the body is in way better condition than expected but the person who did it up last butchered it with all his racing ideas but is still in way better than the body I have now!!! I am very happy with my buy and I start working tomorrow
Ps. I will post pics of the trip later. Im still trying to work out how this new site thing works
