And the work goes on
Managed to get the front and back ends on
Gearshift is nice and crisp and selection is good - seems the problem with the gears from previous owner was the polly pipe that was used for the clutch cable was in the way and also where the pan was cut - the left side remains of the brake pipes was bent so no space for the shifter to move in there
Next task is the inside clutch tube needs to be secured and then the cable shortned
The same task will be for the hand brake - have a donar from the other pan
Will trial fit and measure the cables and then have them shortned
Front
Back
All

Been a bit more than just that - what with birthdays -Christmas - new years work and also a few strikes in the area !
Yesterday was meek and mild compared to today - massive intimidation of permanent workers and a large stand-off between the police and the now violent demonstrators . The town of Grabouw looks like something out of a Western Movie - all you need is a few tumble weeds drifting down the high street !!
Nearly all shops are closed as the police cannot assure the owners that the contents will be safe and also their lives - looting has already taken place in the area known as Pineview
Sporadic cases of arson being dealt with on some farms
Really worrying times out here - lets hope that the main instigators will come to their senses and come to the table - no point in all this mayhem - people want to get back to work
Had a score the other day and found the right inserts for the Warn spots that my boet gave me - park -dim and bright - really stoked -the are gonna look soooooo sweeeeet
Managed to eventually get the engine out of Lilly and put her engine back in - so now the Manx has her own power plant - this is the engine that was got at the local scrap yard for a 1k or G -
Also Cleandup the dusty body again hopefully get some glassing done this weekend with some more primer
Till later

Geezzzz Dude!
I was actually thinking of you whilst watching the news last night. It's a war zone out there
Hopefully these guys will come to their senses otherwise it will mean full automation in the Agriculture section and less jobs.
The Manxy is really coming along great. One of these days she'll be ready t roll!
Keep the pics coming and stay safe out there.
Kind regards
Louis

Well the beat goes on
Sanding sanding and then some more sanding
Note to self - its all going to be worth it when that red goes on
I am really lovin these lines
Have got most of the primer down to 600 grit
some small places that need a little patching
Started the repair to the nose section
Years of being towed down dirt roads has taken its toll on the front of the nose - seriuos sand blasting with the fine gravel
Some tears in the lower lip - so out with the resin and some matting to seal it all up again
Rough sanding and then filled with some boddy putty
Played around and made a little "Wheels of Fortune " mobile
To date it has not worked as I am still broke after the Christmas season - January is a seriousley LONG month
This morning decided to clean the wiper motor and assembly up
Stripped all down cleaned and greased - now working like never before
Had a little wobble when putting back the two skrew holders on the motor as they kept on falling in and then getting stuck on the magnet
Then all apart again to get the bugger out - fiddle with the bushes and then again the little shit would fall in and get stuck inside
After the 4th assembly and the same happened the whole lot nearly got tossed
Used my noggin and held the thinggie with a nose pliers - all sorted
Quite like this
Well heres to a fun filled weekend of some more sanding and maybe some paint

I think we'll have to come dig you out of that shed, looks like you've been in there too long Warwick - whats with that steering wheel mobile ? You'll give Jacques a hernia
Cool progress there dude, are you venturing down the "hill" to Grandslam on Saturday ?

Paul I think its more like a dream catcher for those early morning sessions
Lets see if we get some response from the "Green Man "
Jip will be heading there - need to be early as I have got to drop off Isabella for b-day party at 11
Hopefully mom will allow her to come with and then I can drop her off on the way back
Would be good to see ya if possible- last visit was a blur
