Nice motor brother. Whats the black paint that you put on the barrels?? Is it heat resistant or will it disappear once you have the motor running??

Thats not paint, thats a ceramic thermal dispersant.

No its not the rod bolts either, those come with any decent set of rods... ARP2000s

Let me go and rip out some spares tommorrow and I`ll try again

Most after market cams and gears are 3 bolt type just cant see if it is already ofset for nice tdc`ng the cam to the piston or have you gat the ofset washers on the bolts holding the gear

There you are 100% right I must admit only striped a WBX just before my burn and ja did not take notice of much
Will start getting all the kitters ready for machining and see what I see diferent

As you say it is staring us in the face

Have you used offset washers before to split the cam lobes 100% on TDC
Works similar than a vernier Pully

Its a PITA. The biggest problem is getting really good specs on the cam. Plus you gotta work thru the oil pump hole... small and easy to drop bits.
