Got this diagram off The Samba & its what I had in mind only I was thinking of using the full beam to switch the relay, is this OK or do I need a separate switch for the MOT?

Image

Also got these pics of The Samba & it seems like a good way to route the cables:_

You can get these to protect the cable:-

Bought some 4 mm 12 mm long countersunk Stainless screws to hold my westy cooker & sink cover:-

Picked up some M4 Inter Screws, they are a bit long but I can cut them down,

Fitted my rack:-

Finally got my sink & hob cover back on, I had a big problem with the Inter screws, I knew they would be too long but when I cut them down, I discovered that the thread didn't go to the bottom. What I had to do was drill a 3mm hole right down into the Inter screw & then run a 4 mm tap into the new hole, then I had to cut the Inter screw to length. Took a bit of time but it done the job & now the job is done:-

When Milly was first built she had air-con fitted, the last owner removed the whole set up. It is my intention to re-introduce the whole set up but I wan't to fit a newer more efficient pump in the engine bay.
The York item needs some cutting of the bodywork to fit, I don't want to cut any of the bodywork.
Newer pumps are smaller, lighter & more efficient, so I think that is the way forward.

I purchased a complete set up recently, I'll drop the system off in the week to a local company Rickets Radiators, http://www.rickettsradiators.co.uk/
They are specialists in air conditioning & radiators. They will refurbish all the equipment for me & make it look like new. I can then fit it back on the bus. Rickets will supply me a new pump & when its all installed I'll take the bus to them for them to charge the system with refrigerant & I'll finally have my air-con working.

I've learned something today, the unit I was given with Milly is a CCOOL, however the later DPD unit looks much better & is going to be easier to fit, especially as I have all the parts.

Here is the later DPD unit:-

Milly is no longer at my house.
Left her in good hands. Tudor Morgan is going to:-
1.) Replace the brake flexy's.
2.) Replace the solid brake lines from the flexy's to the calipers.
3.) Bleed the whole system so it has new fluid.
4.) Check the discs, pads & calipers, replace as necessary.
5.) Check the drums, shoes & & cylinders, replace as necessary.
6.) Check & adjust the handbrake cable.
7.) Change the engine oil & filter.
8.) Replace the fuel injector seals.
9.) Sort a sticky tappet I have when cold.
10.) Sort a small rattle I have when idling
11.) Check & adjust tappets.
12.) Check & adjust the gear change.
13.) Check & adjust the clutch cable.
14.) Check the whole vehicle over & replace adjust or repair any defects.

Stuff like this I'd normally do myself but Tudor is very fussy & does a better job than me so I'll leave it to him:)

Hopefully I'll get her back for the weekend or early next week.
:D
