Hi people, I thought I would post a pic of my Puma which may be of intrest to some. I bought it as a total wreck about 10 years back and as it had major parts of the of the front missing and I thought it would be easier to customise it rather than bring her back to standard. I started with a 2 l 8v Golf 3 motor on the beetle gear box with side draught carbs which was fine but the heavy over hang to the rear made it ass heavy and wallowy. I then progressed to removing the rear swing arm suspension and beetle gear box and made up a sub frame to take a golf 5 speed gearbox and golf2 cross member, drive shafts, shocks ect which resulted in a transverse mid mount setup. This improved the handling a lot compared to the beetles box set up. I then decided that a turbo would be good and them rebuilt the motor and fitted a hybrid T3 turbo and 550 rotary injectors.

The stance with those chunky tyres is absolutely wicked

Very nice indeed. Would love to feel how it goes.

wow, i am normally not a fan of modding the puma body work, but i must say this looks hot. makes the car look like it wants to fly.
and those tires very cool.
