So, I got this plan to crawl under the Bug tonight and remove the starter to service it and the solonoid, but nature had other ideas.... Yup, it is that time of year...

And dayum, I forgot how much fun a Bug can be in the snow in a field  Respect goes out to Rally Drivers in the snow(although they cheat a bit with expensive studded snow tyres  )

PS. Notice how the snow is PACKED SOLID just behind the front wheel and under the running boards(the brown 'blobs' just under the black line of the running boar). How weird. It was proper STUCK there!

Looking at your picture, it is kinda hard to imagine what a white Christmas would be like. The thermometer hit 34 degrees Celcius here in Johannesburg today...

Been over here for almost 10 years now, and still cant get used to the cold. Snow I dont mind for 2 reasons:

1. Playing as I did the otehr night in the snow with the Beetle(or the last time with the Fastback)
2. Snowboarding. Although I have oly done this once. But I promised myself to do it again.

Other than that, I dont support this cold at all. And just for the know, it is NOT that easy to make yellow snow!!

Naaice! My Fastback also has an inch of dust on it, just like yours. Is it still stock height? I'm guessing that the engine isn't in?

What motor do you intend running?

Believe it or not, but the Fasty is off the road for almost 2 years  Long story (posted here somewhere IIRC). Stock height. Stock, except converted TO 12v. Still got all the 6v parts. Adapters to run 5 star Empis. Motor will be stock once it gets sorted...... Unless another bug bites.....

PS. Yes, the engine is in parts on a shelf in the garage waiting rebuild....
