The number in the pic is TD527 (Standerton) - not CB527.

My Dad's Beetle in this Port Elizabeth pic (1974) was CB5008

My T34's first number was TJ. My dad's Beetle was TW and his 411 was TE, which changed to TM. My first VW, a Golf L was DYZ812T and my second one was a Golf CSL that was G**(?)833T and it all went to CK and CA after that!!

At one stage, before my ACVW enthusiasm really kicked in, I owned 2 Golf GL's, one GLS, 2 GT's and my CSL. I have only ever owned one car that was not a VW, and that was a Vauxhall Cavalier GLi. Motorway cruiser par exellence, but a complete ox wagon in town.

My VW stable is once again pure with the swap of the Toyota 130S for the Golf IV Variant. Which, by the way has turned out to be a very sweet buy. What a thoroughly nice car!
