Here are some pics of my beach buggy. I have done lots of mods and it remains work in progress, although for now, I'm happy with her.

Very cool.
Have you got more pics of that roof setup?

I thought I'd get a comment on that... Maybe I have some more pics of that, I'll have to scrounge around. Isn't it cool? Especially handy for avoiding the burn on the bald spot(s) when you find yourself near Pofadder at midday in December... 42-in-the-shade!!!

Thanks John, not as rapido as your's, or Dave's, but rapido enough and enough cajones to go up and down the mountains with the trailer on our annual summer camping trips with the trailer, high light of my year. Winter camping is done in the bus.

Induction noise or exhaust noise? Or both? Did you notice the extra silencer? I only put that on for camping, otherwise I end up with tinnitus, but for local buzzing around, I don't mind if she sets off car alarms... see the pic with the short tail-end.

4 off ram air tubes sucking copious amounts of air to supply the 48mm valves and the 63mm exhaust pumping the air out again...
The white brace underneath your buggy, is it to support your rear bull bar?

Yes, because it is also my tow bar. I modified the Beamish design to go around my sway-away bar, and also didn't like the front being attached by 2X10mm bolts...
Here are more pics I found showing the roof. It opens upwards for me to get my 6' 7" frame in.

Is it a canvas roof?

You got to look very carefully to see the air lift, there are two on those stainless hinges... DO NOT ask how I have attached the front to the windscreen, because that is a State Secret, patent, what-ever. Actually, I still don't know. On these pics it is attached with panel washers, so it could not hinge up. It is, as with so many of my VWs, a work in progress. It is on hold pending a new windscreen frame (cum-rollbar), then I will finalise.
