Hi
I spoke to the owner of Go plus motors on the phone the other day (unfortunately lost his details when my PC died)
Seems he converted his 356 Porsche to an upright type four in the early seventies and still owns the car.
I would really like to see some photos and the real date of conversion
We might have one of the first type four uprights in the world.
Maybe one of the PE guys can check it out
Armand

A buddy of mine who raced offroad in the 80's with several big T4 motors 2600cc made a upright conv. using a 36HP fan that had been sliced up then welded together at about a 20deg. angle and T4 cylinder plates welded together and ran it for several years, has a pic on his wall from 1981 with this setup, next time I'm there I must get some pics, the motor is no more but he still has the fan housing.

The owner's name is Danny Marais. He has a Porsche 356A and bought the car with a bad engine. He had a Type4 engine and did the conversion in 1973 already.

I will leave the rest up to Armand and Danny to explain.

Armand,Danny will give you a call.I gave him your number.
