Coopers not available ? only in SA or worldwide?
Khumo's are not bad tyres
Hankook are more like a 145x15 or at most 155x15 although they say 165x15 on the side
AND they stink like sh1t the smell never goes away . If you have it as a spare, it will stink the whole car up when it stands unused or closed up. When you open the boot you will get that wiff of fresh baby crap smell!

BUT they are the only 165 that will fit snugly into the spare wheel well of a bug.

Some of the prices of VW only bits are becoming downright disgusting.
Hankooks for R850-00 ? do me a favour ---thats double the price from not too long ago!
Khumos for R730-00 ? last recent price on these was R498-00 excluding.
Thats another reason why bugs are becoming more and more expensive to to keep running.

Thats why half the bug population is running around on low profile , too wide , dangerous tyres - probably re-treads- on skinny rims.

PSST- I have a set of 5 new Dunlop 165x15 SP-99's for sale - really nice South African made takkies - new old stock at R 900-00 each - a real bargain!

All SA tyres were made with as wide as possible tread be for the size.
