Pine did you know how popular S'wagens are in poland? You can still get parts from there...

I would hardly call a 1969 concept car 'modern'. (It was only 12 years older than the 300SL gullwing, which was in production between '54 and '57.) The C111 -series of Mercs were built as a platform to test new rotary (Wankel) and diesel engines in the late 60's and early 70's, but sadly never made it to the production line. It was re-incarnated in the C112 (below), which made its debut at the 1991 Frankfurt show.

How about this Merc ,

70 od model with a AMG V8 engine and all the bells and whistles. I was told that it was worth R2.5m.
