Rotor bug posted this one on the 'wishlist' thread. What type of body is it?
Curved windscreen, Side covers, custom roof, Long wheelbase...
What do you guys think? Below is a book I wanted to buy about how to build a buggy. The car on the cover seems to be the same body type.

Thank you Natbro and SFDT for the links.

And there it is!!! on the newsletter of the month. Different side panel, must be a later mod from the owner.
And thank you Lord Vader for your insightful observations, as per usual...
The Meyers Manx, not so plentiful in SA I assume?

Interesting question. An old urban legend says that there was at least one Meyers Manx imported from the States to SA, and that the Volkspares Lolette is a direct copy (read: mould) of it. I don't know, as there are quite a number of differences between the two. There is also a nasty story about good old South African corruption in this regard, but let's leave that for another time. The 'Manx Veldwagen', pictured below in Jan '68, probably only shared the name (illegally, btw) with the original Manx....

Very interesting. The whole kit for R250. A decent salary at that time... thanks Pine.
Did the Manx get copied a lot? The Beamish looks similar.

Read the history on the Manx site. Bruce Meyers did not secure the rights and they copied it all over. They did win the Baja 500 with one.

Some more history on buggies. It appears there is more to it than the Manx.
