Today I decided to make individual hand brake levers for my buggy, (diff lock) works better than expected, now I can lock the spinning wheel and transfer
power to other wheel, hand brake works in the normal way, but individual levers work in opposite direction. I must find some nice round handles to finish it off

So started trying to do some bumper repairs
First started with the over spray on the bumper steps on blue
Before

Some elbow crease and they turned out better

Image

Started swearing when I saw the bumper again and tackled it with a new grinder and old hammer

You can clearly see steel was a lot cheaper then as they build this thing up

Image

Image

Welding was functional

Image

Finally got the radiator off

Image

Then had to get these grinder off being careful to preserve as much of the bumper as I could

Image

Image

And after all that here is what I could salvage

Image

Image

Will see what we can do to get this welded again and filled in

The brackets also had been strengthened to hold the weight of the radiator so will make a plan with those as well

Well that is what I did to blue today

Thanks for reading

Why not move the radiator now you have it off and ask Pierre at bugger transmissions to show you how to do it.

The bus will look much better with the hidden radiator and clean nose.

New clutch cable, made a bushing out of nylon to prevent future cable failure. And gave the old girl a wash.

A good day

So at the rear where the cable exits metal tube and enters the flex tube that goes up to the clutch lever. Right at the junction between the two. in my case the metal tube has had quite a lot of ware from the cable resulting in a sharp edge that has been chewing through the cable. I made a round bushing that fits in the flex tube junction and snugly around the cable. the hope is that this will stop the cable from getting stuck in the sharp metal tube.

Its just a round bushing with a pie shape cut out of it to slide over the cable. I made two if you want ill take a pick of it.
