Aircooled VW South Africa

I have been trying to get hold of someone at flatfour for over a week now and still no luck, i am trying to find out what one has to do to become a dealer/distributor for them anyone have any thoughts on this ?
My last resort and im contemplating this is to get on a plane a go there myself !!
But before i do this do you guys think there is a market for their products here in the sunny south ?
It would mean a pretty heavy cash startup fee to get this going but if the market is there im willing to take the chance i cant understand why we dont have the "nice to have's" here in sa and why we have to battle to import all the time.
All comments and thoughts would be greatly appreciated here, help out please !!

Id like a set of BRM;s and a GT steering wheel

I was looking at something similar a year ago and decided against it, simply because I could get a much better return on my money elsewhere. If I could afford to throw the money away I would have gone in to the business regardless, but I'm not that rich yet.

I think the main problem is the market here is just not big enough and ACVW volks still MOSTLY look at ACVWs as cheap transport and don't want to spend a fortune on restoration. Also, every car that is exported means one less customer for ACVW businesses, one less member for ACVW clubs, and one less attendee for ACVW events. It's a downward spiral.

In any case, never mind what I or anyone else has to say, do you own research, draw your own conclusions and good luck. I'd love to be able to buy a set of BRMs off the shelf.

I'll make a single statement and you can deduct from it what you like:

With that kind of money spent, there would be no project threads, only a picture of a black hole.

That said. I too, would LOVE to be able to buy BRM's and the odd nice to have bit off the shelf. Those new BRM's look beautifull.

Black buggy:
Rear disc kit: R3,400 - to be delivered Friday (which one - they can't tell me )
Rear wing - R2,800 - to be delivered 10 days ago (still waiting )

Red buggy:
Lights, wiring harnass, switches, ignition, steering spares, suspension spares, brake spares, etc, etc, etc.

Bus:
Only panelbeating costs
