Blitzkrieg Beetle
I've posted these before shortly after I joined the forum, but can't find the original thread now.
This was the car that really made me want to own an ACVW, from a very young age.
Those figures are still extremely respectable, almost 20 years down the line . Strange how things work. I always thought that I would have a Beetle as my first Aircooled car and even had a look at a few '68/'69s. But then I fell into love with Type 3s.
I'd still love to build a replica of this car one day...
Blitzkrieg Beetle has survived and is still blitzing it in the Cape...

Re: Blitzkrieg Beetle
Thanks for the memories Blitz. I remember reading this article and wishing I had the budget and the skills to build a bug that could go that fast. What a trip down memory lane

I remember seeing it at drags at killarney sometime in 2000 or 2001 it had a turbo and methanol/water injection but didn't run that fast he still had a few bugs to sort out i think

Re: Blitzkrieg Beetle
Wow,the performance specs on this Beetle is truly awesome.
Did anyone notice what a 944 cost in 1990
That is some serious money for those days.I payed just over R50 000 for my Opel Kadett 2.0l 16V CD in those days, and that was expensive.
