Yesterday one of my friends calls and tell me he has a deal that I can not pass up. So he swings by today and took me to look at this...
It is very solid for a 914, not really any rust, just the battery box, but that is an easy fix. Will need to be painted, as it is in primer now. It runs great too, just jumps out of 4th gear when you let up on the gas. But I have a 5 speed 901 trans in the garage, so no big deal. The best is the price, the guy only wants $1000.00 for it. Man this is tempting, it will make a fantastic track toy, you just drop the 1.8L engine and shove a 3.2 boxer 6 in there.
But cooler heads have to rein, the apartments is going to suck all my money that I have and still got to find. So no new toys for now, darn. But as the GF said we will buy another as soon as the apartments are ready. Just thought I will share.

Shite, you almost can not pass that up,it is such a good deal!
But like you said, you get to a point where you just know you can't,or musn't spend money. But someting will come along yet. Those appartments are going to make you lots of cash, and if I was there,I would have helped you with all the stuff that needs fixing.
