Karma - Dino

Just started and have a lot of work and idea`s. This is a Ferrari Dino Replica - I am planning to fit a Rotarty 13 B.

Hard work yesterday , removed the 1600 vw engine and Gearbox. Good thing the engine mountings was kaput.The gearbox, Diff,side shafts and drums will now we upgraded to run my Rotary box. Here is some pic`s

The Dino is my favourit F model ----and the 275 . Is that a new body who make them.
Man the desire to start on something like that is driving me nuts.

Went to see Johan Nolte and was amazed with all the bodies his working on ---Ferrari F something, Lambogini, BMW Z ,Porsche 550,Porsche 356 ,Cobra--- What a nice guy.
Do you plan to hang the engine behind the g/box or in front.

Thanks Bugger for Connecting me to the website. Today was (Maak pas) steering day. The steering is in and working 100 % . It is a combination of VW steering and ALFA. ;). Need some clean up and painting. ( Next weekend)

Going at the Back with support plates ect , Bugger is giving me all the tip and trick. If i do a "Mid fit" Engine in the frond , i will need to do a lots of cutting and changes to the Petrol tank , CV or some setup.. So easy way out and tested before . Lots of advice from the Forum.

The Kit is know as a Karma - Dino. See the Website http://www.quadconversions.com/karma/karma_kitcar.htm , i got the Body , form half done projects on the Web. Was looking a long time for this body. The Ferrari Dino is and was always`s my favorite Ferrari Shape . It also carry a nice story.. anyway .. The real Dino is in the region of 1.5 Mil .. So i will go for my own build.

Just an update :

Still working , busy to change the front drums to Disks. Going well and need to replace the ball joints. This is a slow process and between the rugby and week -end rain in Cape Town i am behind my time line.

Still loving the project and moving forward in small steps.

Hi Ment to give you a call still but will do so on Monday stripped the box all send inn for engineering and got the clutch brackets and most of the other bits for you nearly there

Removal of the Audi - 5 speed box and adabter plate , before and after. ( The nut size is a 54 MM socket) and it sits like hell.
