Snowflake rear light conversions

A few have pm'd me asking details about how the autoeleccy managed to get the snowflake lights working as a three-way unit and also how much he'd charge to do the conversion, so i thought it better as a post, that's searchable, than single pm's.

I wanted the snowflake lights to function as a tail light/brake light and indicator light, without the need for any other additional lights.

Fred in Durban North has managed to do all the design for this to be possible and said he'd charge R400 for the conversion. Obviously this only works for those based in Durbs, but hopefully it is of some help.

He can be reached on 031 564 3046. He's an older guy so just mention Daniel to him when you call, he should remember ;)

That looks pretty darn cool.
Should pass a roadworthy in JHB right? No rule about the indicators being absolutely orange?

I'm totally confused.....is the Oke turning left or right, braking or using the hazards.....I think there's a short somewhere in that wiring....not a simple demo there? :zhelp:

It's based on the yank cars, so roadworthy from that perspective, then again...

From what I have seen and read, American vehicles have no stringent requirements to be road worthy and many would be consigned to the breaker's yard in most First-World countries, for being grossly unroadworthy!
