Bus

Greetings fellow ACVW'ers,
I am doing a makeover on a 78 bus.
The thing was looking very sad and constipated (years of use and abuse and then a 3L V6
stuck up its backside).
Right now I am sanding her down for a re-spray.
I used 80 and 100 grit paper and now there are hairline scratches on the metal and it looks like
rust is forming in the cracks. Apart from that the metal looks nice and shiny.
Is it OK to treat the metal with rust converter (De-Oxidene) or can I spray primer over the scratches?
Second question, I want to take out the V6 and preferably fit a type 4 engine or a 4Y seeing
as they are so cheap and the bus is already plumbed with a radiator. Oh dear, I am probably
going to get a mouthful now!
Are type 4 engines still readily available and at what price?
