Was wondering, what front gearbox mounts you guys are using on your beetles, the three bolt type boxes? As far as i know there isn't a PolyU one available. Are you using the standard ones?
My Bowden tube was set incorrectly and i tore one previously and have another wrecked one on the shelf and was thinking of maybe making up poly urethane ones. Have you ever heard of it done before?

I've seen the kits for the old 2 bolt boxes. and i'm running the rear half of that kit on my 3 bolt box but the front one is still rubber.

I think i can arrange the correct 2mix PolyU and i'm thinking of giving it a try. the old ones will have to be modified slightly so as to get the polyU to hold correctly but i think its definitely possible. Cast several different things from several types of moulds before and they normally come out perfectly, so moulds and casting is easy. Any one maybe interested? or any one think it wont be possible for what ever reason? Bugger?

Welll in my Dictionary there is no word " Can`t " so there is your answer

What I normally do is fill the steel cup around the mounting with special Fisher sealer with polyurethane in it then leave it do dry and that makes the mounting very stiff

Then for racing use

I use the solid front ones with all sold back and mid mount
