Well after the disaster of last nights ignition barrel been stripped I made my way down to volksie world to see if they have any ignition barrels that I could use in my steering column. Well Mark took a look and bang, he said he had one that would fit... Im lucky, 170.00 later i have an original barrel with key. Awesome, you can really see and feel the build quality compared to todays universal rubbish.
Old Stripped one:

So now the task at hand is going to be fitting this bad boy, atleast I am not going to have to keep holding the barrel when I start the car or have the lets break off and spark (Last night with a cell phone)!!!! Guys any clues, whos done this before? Any easy was without taking off the steering wheel.
Was going to pic up the carpets today but didnt have time.... to far to get to DaveR from the office.

It can only be done witht the steering off and the housing taken off.
