Impi goes new school

Except Aircooled there is one other series of car which really gets me going and that is the mark 1 Passat. I had a Coupe a long time ago and recently found this car.
This car was owned by an old lady and garaged for its whole life. I just polished and bent the bent bumper a bit and it looks like new ther is a bit of trim missing and I found it at Gunthers on the way home He casually sold me new radiator hoses and a few other parts for a major service.
Pine convinced me to try a few possible wheel sizes But what I really want is BBS lookalikes in a fourteen or fifteen inch size. Hockenheims will also be nice
If any one can find me a center console and related bits as was used on the Audi 80 I will be very gratefull
Armand

Very nice Armand! That is a very nice car, pity that you don't see many of them around. I posted pictures of an abused 2 door a while ago... Car will look sweet with the wheels that you have in mind

Keep the paint as is, drop it (slightly) on Hockenheim R's with some red willwood disk brakes all round. You got yourself a looker! Very Nice Impi. Reminds me a bit of the SP2 or is that just me ?
I am sure you will also be fiddling with the oily bits up front, maybe a 2.0 litre 16v from a mk2 golf GTI, or should we start searching for the engine from a GTI 5

?
Enough from me. Impi get those Hockenheim R's!

Awesome cabbie - I had one too.
I seem to remember that in the '80's some British journalist was looking for the ultimate cornering car which he was measuring by using a g-force meter to see which car could build up the highest g-force in a corner. The winner was a passat coupe on a set of Pirelli's (was too long ago, can't remember which Pirelli).

I drove it back from Potchefstroom to Klerksdorp yesterday, the handling on the standard tyres is... well.... interesting, I am sure any upgrade will make it A LOT better. Anyway, nice find!
