Excuse the blondeness, still pretty new to buses.

I've looked at a load of rebuild projects and many of them go down the route of a straight axle. Not fully understanding the pro's and con's of this, could someone shed some light?

Fitting a straight axle is a method of lowering the rear end. I think people use type3 axles?

CONS:
You'll need a big engine as the gearing is raised without the RGBs
One bearing carrying the weight of the bus as opposed to four in the RGBs
You won't be able to carry a load

PROS:
Errrrr ... uhhhh ... hmmm, you better ask someone else; I think lowered buses are stupid.

Someone has to speak the truth about lowered buses, otherwise everyone will be lowering theirs because it's "cool" and only find out when it's too late that they've lost most of their bus's utility for a dubious "look".

Anyone who thinks lowered buses look cool, feel free to ignore me and go ahead and fcuk yours up.

Lol. Haha. Ag but leave the dropped busses fan club, if they lowering it, there probably no way that they were going to take em offroad anyway. It probably boils down to use.

oh yes and im sure if someone has there bus lowered, they should have the common sence to know they cant carry a massive load anymore.

Common sense and lowered bus in the same sentence?
