Stumbled across an old afrikaans movie on the kyknet channel. - DIE BANKROWER.
With a young Marius Weyers and Sandra Prinsloo, anyway, real reason why its interesting, all the bank vehicles are Beetles and Bay window busses. A green bay window panel as the cash in transit VAN! two locks secures its all - lol, not in this day and age! Movie circa 1973.

Cool in a corny sort of way. The sunglasses and hairstyles seem to be coming back into fashion!

Pretty sure I saw a black fasty in the one scene! Did the fasty ever come in black as a std VW colour ?

I bought this Fasty a few years ago in Bloemfontein. It had a rough coat of red paint on the outside, but the car's factory original VWSA colour underneath and on the insides was black, with a white interior. (Note HW1 in the background )



The only other black Fastback that I have ever seen, is this one in the outside display window of the VW Museum in Uitenhage, but I am not sure if is an SA car?

Pine do you perhaps remember the colour code on the Vin plate? I've only ever found Type 3s that were originally White from the factory
