Aircooled VW South Africa

been driving perfectly all day until you get onto a road where a breakdown really isn't convenient (no hard shoulder, no where to pull over) and she decides to misfire like a mofo.

I think it's time for one of those threads

You know you drive a bus when a truck drives past and blows you all over the road.
Or when you see it as a personal victory to overtake pretty much anything on the road,....even cyclists.

When half your stops are spent feeling how hot the engine bay is

when instinctively u gear into 5th and realise u only hav 4 gears

when half the worlds oil reserves are lying on your drive way

When you see an early porsche and think, mmmm, those Fuchs/Clocks/Mirrors/etc will look great on/in/with/etc my bug/bus/acvw

....you've invented a way to stop clutch cables from snapping and STILL carry a spare...

...when you feel the need to hoot at a car resembling yours and hope they'll respond. In a good way at least....

When you in a car with aircon and dont have to shout to be heard but you still miss driving your ACVW

I know that feeling, I either do this to oncoming cars or pull up next to them on the highway or flash my hazards as i go past Hazards work, one guy in the morning flashes back

1)... when you are UNABLE to pull up next to anyone on the highway due to power inefficiencies (LOL)....
2)... when your car is not equipped with hazards as that was not on the year model you drive...

When you have to park your car outside, because the garage is full of spares and there is a project of two standing inside.

... when you go on a road trip carrying more tools and spare parts than luggage.

.... when you have a tool chest on the floor, fanbelts under the rear seat and 5l oil containers in the boot.

Fixed it

....when you lock the door of ur friends ride before closing it even though it has central lock.
....when you refer to someones bonnet as the boot
