So guys, as the title says... what have you got too look back on and cringe over, or smile about, and also whats instore for the new year?

I have alot to look back on, some amazing, some sad some life changing...Looking foward to fresh starts and change in the new year, watching a young 1 grow, maybe getting the bug fully able, earning a steady income, getting the german soccer team autographs, And growing in the acvw world

Looking back on 2009, it was one ridiculously tough year, but I learned many things. Lots of firsts for me.

First Restoration
First complete car dis-assembly :)
First car chop up :(
First metal working
First Fibre-glassing
First Interior covering
First Arc Welding
First George car show
First car show ... remember the small one we did in Stellenbosch. It was small, but it was the first I had a car entered into.

Ok, it's getting out of hand now, but the essence is that although it's been a hard one, it's also been a fun one.

As for 2010, I'm looking forward to completing Christn and might have a few more ACVW adventures tucked under the sleeve :D
Many happy returns to all :D

Personally 2009 has been one of the most difficult years of my life, and thanks to you guys, ACVWSA carried me through it. Ten years ago this time, I was in pain after rolling a 1600S between George and Wilderness. Although the hurt is long gone, it worries me that it feels like only yesterday, and the older one gets, the more you realise how precious time is. Ten years from now, the 2010 Soccer will probably be a vague memory, the '95 World Cup will be totally forgotten, and you will most probably be able to take a Gautrain to almost any spot in Gauteng. CitiGolf prices will soar, and I expect a company called 'CitiBuddies' will sell two-tone refurbished MK1's for 6-digit prices...

What I hope to see in 2010:

- The spectacular fall of the popularity of Julius Malema
- Depeche Mode live in Johannesburg Stadium
- A competitive alternative cellular network
- More glass, and less plastic Coca Cola products
- A Hot Wheels Fastback or two on every Hyperama toys peg
- Nature through the windscreen of HW2
- A successful World Cup
- Directions to parking areas in OR Tambo that actually makes sense
- Volkspares on the JSE
- More ACVWSA members
- A campfire and a starlit sky in the Richtersveld
- KKNK/Aardklop/Inniebos
- Windhoek Draught at vending machines
- More Kary Byron on new episodes of Mythbusters
- Suzanne Steyn on the 19:00 TV news
- Another Farewell Tour by Cher
- More seatcovers compliments of Vader
- Blitz behind the wheel of his Fasty
- All the Nash Bridges Seasons on my DVD shelf
- The White Lion movie

What I hope NOT to see in 2010

- Julius Malema on my TV screen
- Roadworks
- Coathangers for sale at traffic lights
- Hummers with bling wheels
- Top Gear re-runs
- Riaan Cruywagen/Terrance April on the 19:00 TV news
- Another Leon Schuster re-run on SABC TV
- Daniel Craig in another Bond film
- A hail storm while stuck in traffic on the N1
- Another 'Please call me' from an unknown number
- More millions pouring into my bank account from Nigeria
