Only picking up the tail end of the sandblasting thing. From what I've heard this can seriously warp and pit panels. I have heard that Media Blasting (plastic beads) is lot less offensive to old metals and does the same job and is the same principle.

Was talking to a guy at sandblasters here in Tzaneen, and he was saying how they have to replace the sand after awhile coz it starts getting too fine, what about taking that sand they throw away and using that? Wont using finer sand cause less heat?

Upload the DC yesterday took it for sandblasting and etch primer.

You found a place thats a little cheaper ?
No concerns about the potential warping?

warping usually only happens on long, big panels. I deff wouldn't blast a kombi or something with big panels.

My buddy blasted his whole SC and he had zero issues.

DC should be fine. Need to do it and if cheaper then transport becomes an issue

Hey Lowlight i am fairly new to the site, but am moving to Durban and will be getting a crew cab one day so have an interest in anything crew cab related. Good luck with the blasting and i am looking forward to the results. :hangloose:
