Dude, not a chance...

Try and prepare yourself for something like this...

318.08 x 11.09
= 3527.50

Customs / SARS

+ 10% landing fee (actually VAT)
= 3880.25

+20% duty
= 4656.30

+ 14 % VAT (the real VAT)
4656.30 +14% VAT

TOTAL = R 5308.18

This is an estimate on what is advised on by Customs themselves. Good luck... just make sure you have all paperwork, as well as all invoices and internet payments printed as hard copies....

Donovan (Splitz) and I order from Midlands to SA......the print on the invoice was all re paid to them but when the wheels arrived in SA, we got charged and additional R2,100. There is a thread with all the details already on the site somewhere.

Thats correct mate...

Dutch ordered his fuchs from Midlands and as it is slighty more costly than what you are being charged, Franks additional cost of R2100 is in ratio to the R1800 extra you are being screwed...err, sorry charged...

Luckily, whenever I go to Customs for pickup, I ALWAYS make sure I take a 1lt Coke Light with for the oom... and it works...truesbob!

Try additional cost reduced from R1730 to R62....

Now you just need to find your guy's favourite daytime tipple... :drunks:
