Not sure where to post this
Here or in the projects thread.
I have been asked by my wifes cousin to finish off the bug that her husband started about 6 years ago, mainly to respray and assemble the car.
It has a 1400 Nissan motor in it :bn:
For remuneration I get cash money (which is always good :D) a almost complete SP bug (I think it is), spare gbox and motor and possibly a second incomplete bug and a lot of odds and ends.
When posting pics I will again call on blitz to post then as I can never get it right.
Now the question is what to do with the first bug that I get, like I said I do not know what model it is, the speedo is colour coded yellow, same as as the car, left hand side door has a rear view mirror (not an aftermarket one) and the seats have the head rests incorperated into it, door handles are also painted black, dash is the padded type.
can anyone identify this bug :?:
Oh and it has an aftermarket sun roof (I think)

my guess is that it could be a '73, as my first beetle was a '73 and it had the padded dash

I am more than willing to help with re-homing thus one for you. Ol' Betty has been giving me so much trouble over the past few months that I feel like retiring her. I NEED TO FIND A NEW GIRL. :hangloose:

Have been to see the bug again today and relised that it has been in a front end accident
The damage is not to bad but I would not be able to repair it, so I am thinking of cutting the roof, weldind up the doors, putting a baja kit on it and making a buggy out of it like my Mello monster that I had awhile ago.
I plan to collect it and the rest of the spares on the weekend.then I will post pics and get a feel of what to do
