Disk brake conversion

I want to convert my front drum brakes to disk brakes.
Can anyone provide info on this mod, typically where parts available, costs, etc.

Apart from the info given on the link given by didi, you could also look at:
braided brake hoses
dual-circuit master cylinder and reservoir
copper brake pipes
silicone brake fluid
Tried these out on my brakes and they work a treat only thing is they make the brake pedal firm and some vehicle testers don't like this on a Beetle.
With some of the rear kits the brackets are quite flimsy so be careful what you buy.

The reason why your brake pedal is firm is because the dual-circuit master cylinder from the Golf is designed to work with a booster servo unit.

The master cylinder is from a later model (overseas variety) Beetle bought new and definately not meant to work with a servo. The pedals firm for a variety of reasons but mainly cos the brake hoses don't flex as with normal hoses and decent brake fluid that isn't hydroscopic, and a complete upgrade of the braking system to better than new.
