Morning Gentz, i bought a '75 beetle, but the front was drastically dropped, when u turn it hits up against the arches, so they beginning to crack already. I was just wondering if i have 2 change the shocks or if there is a other way of solving this problem????
Thanks

Welcome. Let me be the first to say so... I've been dying to do this for months...

Please introduce yourself in the introduction thread.
But more to the point... It is impossible to tell you what to do to reverse of fix a bad lowering job until we know how it was done in the first place.

If it was drastically dropped, jack the car up and take pictures of the front beam, then post them up and I will try and tell you what was done to it
You have 3 things that could of been done to lower the beam.
1.Avis adjusters
2.Cut..Turn..weld
3.pulled leafs

Avis adjusters you can adjust as you want
Cut turn weld, no, you'll need to cut turn weld or replace the beams
Pulled leafs, you can restack if you can find leafs, but maybe best to get new front suspension.
I have also heard of heating and bending trailing arms and then there is of course, dropped spindles.
