Aircooled VW South Africa

Seen between Standerton and Volksrust. It is kinda sad to think that the 4-door 411 sedan was at the beginning of the 70's the fastest, most expensive and most luxurious model in the VW lineup - the equivalent of today's top-of-the range Passat, or even the CC?



The rust on its right front hubcap makes it almost look like a precision illustrative technical cutaway drawing!

Sad that not many survive. I see more Ovals and Splits than 411s and 412s. A shame really
