Now I'm starting to panic...

On my calender are four major dates marked every year.
1. Angela's Picnic
2. Cars in the Park (Pretoria)
3 Ferdie's Swop meet
4. Aircooled Heritage day
Angela's came and a great day was had by all.
With CITP on the horison, I decided to send Petrus to Vee Motors to have a warranty related oil pressure and missfiring problem attended to.
That was Monday 19 July. More than enough time and some time in hand to install the new sound system for Sunday, I thought.
By Monday 26 July, I started getting concerned, as my car was not ready yet (Labour problems according to them)
Wednesday 28 July at 16:00 I get a call from them that the engine is in, but they battle to get it started and when it starts, it won't idle.
Now it is Thursday morning, I have no Beetle, CITP is around the corner, Vee Motors have two days to get my car sorted. I HOPE.
I am so desperate to get there that I am considering borrowing a gearbox from Andre, bumming some wheels and tyres and drive Dusty (The 68 Variant) to CITP. If only time was not so few.......
The 70 Opel Rekord, I am restoring, has had a three week delay from the panelbeaters, so I can't even use that.
Seems like I will end up paying admission like a common civilian in order to get my fix....
