Looking for a recon for a 1976 2000L Microbus. It popped on Sunday after doing a carb overhaul. Think she was not used to the extra ooomf, after replacing the carbs we started her, she sounded wonderful for about a minute and then in a puff of brown smoke she started clanking. I want to try and get her sorted for our holiday in dec.........

Any idea's of who I can call, preferably in the randburg area

I have a 2l motor that came out of my splittie SC it needs minor attention and I want to sell it, it is Randburg with the German guy who does all my mechanical work. His name is Joe on 011-888-1224. If you are interested I will give him a call in the morning to tell him. Alternatively he might be able to help you.

thanks

What sort of price are you looking at? We are getting a mech to look at it this week to see if it is worth while repairing it, but If it is not possible I will
definatly contact you/your Mech. Probably next week as I will be away on business for the rest of the week.

Hi ptlpip

We took the bus to a mech who recons it won't be a mission to repair.
So I think I will go that route. Thnks 4 the offer, it was greatly appreciated
