vw roof rack

Hi guys someone stole my refurbished roof rack on saturday night from bayview strandfontein.There is sentimental value on it and i am offering a very large reward for the return or the where abouts of this.A pic will be attached.

The roof racks are completely different.
The one stolen from Dablakmark8 is a Sterling and the one on bid or buy and on gumtree is a tubular framed roof rack either home made or by a local company. I called the guy offering the rack on BOB and Gumtree last week and he was asking too much for a rack that did not have any clamps or any of the rubber feet.
Dablakmark8 ... I will keep my eye out for it as Cliffie at Volksieworld told me about it getting stolen.

yes they are completely different racks... i'm just saying the one in the BOB ad is a fake because I bought that rack from that guy over a year ago, and I remeber those pics as I took them

The one i refurbished is from germany..the made in germany is stamped on it so its the original one and not a template hence the huge reward out.If i do see a roof rack like it on the road i will check the serial number which i have hidden and stamped myself:D.
The detectives are on the case but i fear that it will be sold in jhb or sent over seas.

How'd they steal the rack - was it off the car?
Just want to know as I dont feel like any of mine going missing ! Surely once the door is closed and the proper fittings are used then you cant get them off without bending the door/window frame or forcing the door open.
