Morning MEN!!
I know this is a long shot but I am going to try it anyway.
I left JHB in 2004/5 and moved to Cape Town. My last project was a Yellow (BRIGHT) semi race car. I do not have a picture of it as all my records were lost in the move (I am still crying....) but here is a brief description:
-BRIGHT Yellow
-15" Black TSW Hockeneim rims
-fully de-chromed
-Full roll cage
-Fully adjustable once off custom rose joint front suspention
-discs all round
-Exhaust exit in right rear fender
-It had no papers but I am pretty sure it was a '63/'64. It had the smaller windows (higher door sils) but not a oval rear window
-I suppose the motor is long gone by now but here is what I remeber
-Dual 36 Weber's (bored to 40mm)
-Some crazy cam from the states, thing revved for ever
-Big valve heads
-Forged counterweight crank
-Carbon push rods
-Ratio rockers
-lightened (big time) Flywheel (holes drilled in ringear)
-A friend of mine sent me a big Nascar style rev counter from New Zealand which is not locally available. White backround with blue light
- Original (zero KM) Porche 911 speedo, fully restored
The car stood for a couple of months at Volkspares in Jet park on their showroom floor and was sold from there.
A couple of my friends reported seeing the car on the road (!!??!) in the Randurg area quite often for about a year after I moved and then reports stopped.
Like I said, it's a long shot but you never know....... I would love to get re-united with this car so any info might help!!
Thanx
