At work on the smallholding today, transporting sand, stone, cement, etc. ..............

If that is one cube its about 1.9 tonnes so that's pretty impressive!

How did it handle on the road with that load?
Mine handles a huge amount better when it is fully loaded. It is a lot more stable and solid on the road.
It's always nice to see when a bus is still being used for what it was made for.

Hmmmmmm should'nt have done that, but the builders yard was closing, the previous load of stone I did in two trips.
It handled the load ok considering the "roads" around here, but a load like that can't be doing it any good

LOL! Given that bakkie's history I'm sure it's done it plenty of times! Doubling the payload does not constitute overloading a VW bus; they're built to take it.

I have a quite a few pics of my pick-ups at work, can't help it, just love them

- will start looking for them and posting soon. In the meantime we had to move a whole lot of bamboo today ........
Was'nt too heavy a load, just awkward
