Just kidding guy's, sorry I have no during photo's but I'll explain a bit
The bonnet and engine lid was already painted so that stayed the base, I wet sanded with 1500 grit paper to rough out for the new paint to stick. The bonnet was tricky, used 5mm fineline tape that you can get from any paint shop and layed out the flames by hand, like I said it's tricky because left and right images must look very alike, next I masked out the areas that were going to stay the original colour and cut it out using a sharp utility knife, removed the tape were paint is to be applied and sprayed 2 light coats of pearl mix. Then clearcoat, wet sand with 2000 grit and polish.
The engine cover was easier, I covered the entire lid with masking tape and with a pencil drew out the images I needed, then cut out the parts that needed to be painted and sprayed, also it was first wet sanded like the bonnet, removed the masking, wet sand with 2000 grit and polished.
Easy hey

???

I will make sure to take pic's of each step when I do the V8 Beetle, that will be a complete flame over body but with much more details and shadowing, promise ok?

Please tell me about those rear round lights.
Am l correct if l said those rear fenders are widened? Did they come with the bug, or you sourced them?
Great paintjob by the way!

The round lights are just normal trailer/truck lites with modified tail & stop lamp, flickers you buy as is but theyre not very bright, therefore the modified square mist lights for additional brake lights, will fix soon though, the fenders are fibre glass and have been traveling with me for years before I put them on this bug.
Thanks for the compliment

Dont be modest it takes a huge amount of effort to pin stripe , Flame, or do any "fancy" painting

Well done !

Uhm...please give us another shot of that rear! Man, those are fine "truck lights". They look smaller than the usual - was suspecting them to be from AC Cobra or something like that as they look 'sunk' - just checking the black trim on them
