clutch

The clutch on the beetle went last night.
Midas says that there are two clutch plates for the '71 model. a 180mm one and a 200mm one.
which one does mine use. Its a 1300 sp

200mm but in 71.......
there were two different clutch throwout bearings supplied. one with a guide tube and one without
The problem is that you would need to remove the engine to know

Howzit my fellow swartlander..... yes you have to take the engine out to have a look....

Replaced the Buggy's clutch a month ago - cost about R 650 for a good quality complete LUK kit.. and the difference is amazing! Took me about an hour and a half, 6 Millers, and U2's Actung Baby CD on repeat about 3 times
(I even had to take the engine out!
)
