howdy, is this advised when building a buggy and hows it done ?

i also had to move my steering box to the right to line up the steering column but its thrown the steering completely out...is there a fix

No, AFAIK, you don't shorten the steering shaft but you certainly don't move the steering box. The steering wheel does not sit 100% 90 degrees to the center line of the vehicle.

thanx mate, i kinda figured this method was crappy (ie. don't fall for everything you read on the internets)
