How do I identify a '67 Beetle

From what I have observed 1967 beetle was a one year one model, different from others. I would like to know how to identify one. Lights, bumpers, indicators, Knobs (colour), mirrors, windows, engine sizes, beading/trim and anything else that's different. Pictures will help as well.

Easy way, 4 bolt wheels, Disks up front, Ball joint suspension, that is the chassis done. You can also use the VIN, do a search on here for that answer.

Sarel, the things you mention are found on 67s, but also on other years. The 67 discs are one'year-only, but later Beetles (not in SA) also had discs. Also, only the 1500 in SA had four-lug hubs and discs, the 1300 still had wide fives and drums.
There are a number of 67-only parts, the most obvious being the outside door handles, which had a round push button as opposed to the earlier rectangular push button and the later pull handle. Next is the squared-off engine cover with push-button catch, and the corresponding 67-only towel rail rear bumper, which has reprofiled towel rails to clear the squared-off engine cover. There are other 67-only parts, but I would need to look them up.

Thanx Fig & Sarel for the explanations. I would also like to know what size chrome beading does it take. Big (early) or small (late)? What colour are the interior knobs. Black or Ivory?
