Hi Guys,
I attended the JHB Motorshow this morning. After the R80-00 to get in it was very nice. Some good exhibits by some of the manufacturers.
Especially Suzuki must be mentioned. I'm not very keen on their cars, but their effort to put up something special must be commended. They have a two story building with a bridge connecting their exhibitions. There is also a small zoo with tiger cubs and other animals for the kids. I think it was well done.
Volkswagen had an excelent stand. The highlight for me was the New Beetle. It really looks stunning in the flesh. Can't wait to see it on the showroom floors.
A few pics for the guys that can't make it.

A picture of the inside as best I could get it. Shows the gauges on top of the dash. Looks cool.

In Hall 9 there is also some old cars. Saw this 53 Zwitter on display there. Probaly one of our forum members cars.

Outside on the lawn there were a few bugs on display. There was a nice blue Beetle with a turbo Rotary conversion and this black custom Split.

It was a very enjoyable day. If some of you guys go, make sure to attend the Drifting spectacle and bike stunts that is held every 3 hours. It is about an hour program but very well presented. Chevrolet get's a lot of promo, but they probably need it.
Rudi.
